Thank you for trusting me with your tattoo! Here’s a simple aftercare guide to help your piece heal well and stay beautiful long-term.

Tattoo Aftercare

  • Leave the Second Skin on for 3-4 days. You may shower as normal, just avoid submerging/soaking the tattoo.

  • If the second skin starts peeling of on its own and some part of the tattoo gets exposed, remove it earlier.

  • If the second skin will gets really itchy and red on the outside of the sticker it can be sign of a mild reaction to the adhesive. In case of allergic reaction to the Second Skin, remove it immediately, wash with warm water and let it air dry. If the redness doesn’t go away in couple of days after you removed it, please contact me or doctor for future steps.

  • Remove the Second Skin gently with clean hands and warm water in the shower.

  • After removal, wash the tattoo once daily with clean water. Avoid using harsh soaps and scented products on the area for first 2 weeks. No exfoliating for 4 weeks after getting a tattoo.

  • Use clean and dry towels or paper kitchen towel to dry the tattoo after having a shower for the first couple of weeks.

  • Apply a thin layer of aftercare cream 2 times a day morning and evening for at least 5 days. Do not use any other moisturisers in the area for first 2 weeks.

  • Avoid over moisturising even with aftercare cream - less is more.

  • Wear loose clothing and do not pick or scratch the tattoo. Depending on the placement, be mindful about bra straps, wearing packpacks or purses, high boots or strong waistband.

  • If the tattoo gets really itchy, apply little bit more aftercare cream or gentle tap it over clothes.

  • Avoid sun exposure, swimming, baths, saunas, and intense exercise for the first 2 weeks.

  • Healing can take up to 4 weeks - depending on type of tattoo, body placement and weather.

  • If you have any concerns during healing, don’t hesitate to get in touch!

If there are any imperfections, I offer 1 year free touch ups.
